Texas Announcement

Ryan Delk
Founder and CEO

Primer is coming to Texas.

San Antonio, to be specific – and we couldn’t be more excited.

We’ll be opening at least five schools in communities across greater San Antonio in August of 2026, and we’re open for enrollment for K-8 students across all five campuses beginning today.

While I’m (quite!) excited about bringing Primer to Texas, I’m even more excited to share that a goal we’ve worked for years to achieve is finally here: Primer will be free for every Texas family.

My vision for Primer is simple: a quality education for every family in America. Since our founding, a great education has always cost something – tuition at a private school, a long commute to a charter school, or an expensive move to a better school district. That ends today.

Primer will be 100% tuition-free – no out of pocket costs to parents – for all families. There is no cap on the number of children each family can enroll, and there are no hidden fees.

How is this possible? Last year Texas passed a new state scholarship program that enables families to secure scholarship for their students to attend the school that best fits their needs. While most private schools won’t accept these scholarships, and the ones that will charge thousands of dollars of tuition on top of them, our model allows us to fully cover each child’s tuition with only their state scholarship.

We’ll have more to share soon on some of the fantastic educators we’re partnering with to launch Primers across San Antonio.

If you’re a family or educator interested, head on over to Primer.com/texas

We’ll see you soon!
